Floating village

People living on a floating village on 21th October 2016 at Kampung Pondo, Gaya island, Malaysia. The floating village, home to around 6000 people, started to be inhabited from the 1970s by Filipino-Moro refugees in their bid to escape from the war in the southern Philippines. Till this day the inhabitants have not been officially recognized and are therefore considered as illegal immigrants by the Sabah government Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia
